Model 4011

DESCRIPTION:
The Model 4011 intercom system consist of the Model 4011 operator station and a remote speaker/microphone station. The Model 4011 operator station is an integrated assembly consisting of the operator microphone and speaker along with the intercom amplifier. The Model 4011 is designed for ease of use and installation.

The Model 4011 intercom system is used where there is only one operator station and one remote station. The system allows for hands free, two-way communication between the operator and customer. Two options are available for normal operation. One is to have the operator station listening to the remote station. When the operator speaks, the remote station is switched from an incoming (remote microphone) to an outgoing (remote speaker) mode. When the operator finishes speaking, the remote station is automatically switched back to a listening (remote microphone) mode. The second option is to have the system in a standby mode. In this mode the operator must depress the console STANDBY switch to allow communication. The operator must be aware someone is at the remote station. This can be accomplished with a call button. When the remote call button is depressed, a 0.6 s econd tone is produced on the operator console and the call LED flashes for as long as the call switch is depressed.

Two momentary push button switches are provided on the front of the Model 4011 console; a STANDBY switch and a MANUAL switch. The STANDBY switch places the console in the standby mode where there is neither incoming nor outgoing communications. The remote call signal is still active in this mode. The MANUAL switch is a push to talk switch that allows the operator to override incoming noise or communications.

Four LED's are provided on the front of each Model 4011 console. The POWER LED is illuminated whenever the system is on. The CALL LED will flash approximately two times per second as long as the call button is closed. The LED above the MANUAL switch illuminates whenever the system switches the console microphone on. The LED above the STANDBY switch lights whenever the system is in standby and both the incoming and outgoing audio is switched off.

An incoming volume adjustment knob is provided on the Model 4011 front panel that adjusts the volume of the incoming channel. This setting can be changed by the operator. The outgoing volume and sensitivity adjustments are provided on the back of the console. These settings are established when the system is installed or operating conditions change. The sensitivity adjustment controls the volume level at which the circuit will switch.
